Wow, what a game! This was always going to be our toughest game. Grays Cosmos had played 4, won 4 with a goal difference of +23. Breaking with the normal format of match reports, I won't pick out any specific highlights of the game as there were many. Also the performance throughout the team was exceptional. Instead I will give each player marks out of 10:
This was a great game where perhaps a draw would have been a more deserving result. Referring back to the Panthers goal difference. Their previous 4 games were won by an average of almost five goals. Their win today was by a margin of 1 goal. That fact on it's own demonstrates what a great game we had. A certain Left Back in the team reminded me afterwards that we had not had our usual chant ("Who are we?......) before the match. After our first 5 games I'm sure the opposition now know who we are. Great game boys, enjoyable to watch and your performance this weekend was a measure of how far you have come. We are improving every game.
